We first met while working together at The Warehouse in Nelson. At first, we were distant, with Martha even thinking Peter was a bit scary, but over time our shifts aligned, and we slowly began talking more. What started as brief conversations grew into a genuine friendship, sharing laughs during quiet shifts and getting to know each other in ways neither of us expected. A broken moped eventually led to Peter giving Martha rides home after late shifts, and on one of those drives, Peter nervously confessed his feelings only to find Martha felt the same.

From there, those drives turned into long conversations and eventually New Year’s Eve overlooking the ocean, where Peter asked Martha to be his girlfriend. We soon moved to Christchurch together, taking a leap of faith and building a life side by side - learning, growing, and turning challenges into memories. From road trips and concerts to glow worm adventures (and sprained ankles), every moment strengthened what we have. Somewhere between the everyday moments and big adventures, we became best friends, and then something even greater. Now, we can’t imagine life without each other and are so excited to begin this next chapter together as husband and wife.
